Rev. John P. Thompson

Passed away peacefully at his favorite vacation site, Shadow Lake, Sunday, August 3, 2008, age 87. Preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth (nee Stuelke). Loving husband of Irma (nee Knorre). Cherished dad of Mary (Tom) Turner, John (Kathy) Thompson, Jane (Dean) Kilde, Richard (Edith) Ebel and Jean (Bob) Hatten. Proud grandpa of Scott (Shelly) Turner, Amy (Jamie) Gleisner, Kristina (Paul) Omtvedt, Melissa Thompson, John K. Thompson, Rebecca Thompson, Edward (Michelle) Ebel, Elizabeth Ebel, Michael (Kristin) Hatten, Daniel Hatten, Megan Hatten and nine great grandchildren. Dear brother of Bernice (the late Robert) Furgason, the late Helen Brandt and James Thompson. Also loved by other relatives, including special niece Kathy Massman and many friends. Visitation at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 12860 West North Avenue, Brookfield, Saturday, August 9, 10 AM – 12 PM. Funeral Service at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family which will be used to further John's love and dedication to Mission Outreach. John was recently recognized for 60 years of service to the church. He served many parishes, including Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
