Judy and Family, So sorry for your loss. Bill and I grew up together at the church in LaGrange. So many memories with him. I believe you both were in our home maybe some 48 years ago. I’m sure Heaven is rejoicing, with our loss. God bless you all in this time of sorrow. Don

It was wonderful to watch the funeral service for cousin Bill. He was a multi- gifted man with the compassionate spirit of Jesus. He and you, Judy, were so kind and encouraging when Jim passed on to heaven. Enjoyed the video and seeing your family at the service. So nice! Blessings and love, Mary Lou Coe

So sad to hear of Bill's passing but comforting knowing that he knew the Lord and is now with Him. I had the pleasure of working with Bill at the GE Online Center several years ago.

I had to laugh at the favorite uncle line. That fits. When I was a little girl, Uncle Bill was our crazy young uncle who would play with the kids. He was the only one in our family with red hair, so when people asked me where I got my red hair I would say, "From my uncle." People laughed harder than I thought they should at that explanation. I always appreciated how Uncle Bill and Aunt Judy cared for Grandpa after Grandma died. I loved hearing how Uncle Bill took Grandpa to work with him. My heart is sad. Much love to you all.

I am tired of covid taking away my cousins. Billy was the pesky little cousin who interrupted our playtime when Bev and Barb and I tried to have girltime. But as he grew, I came to appreciate his intelligence and his sense of humor. I loved teasing him about how naughty he was as a kid. I loved him dearly and know he will be very much missed by many people. He was compassionate and kind when I went thru a difficult time in my life. Bill was a "one of a kind" person and though we will miss him , I have no doubt in Heaven he is getting a standing ovation.

Sarah Stark left a message on December 9, 2020:
My dear Father. I will miss our laughs, silly times, serious talks, our times together, our times of messing with Mom, our talks of God and our cries together. I have so many fond memories of our time together. You were truly a ONE OF A KIND man who I am blessed to be your daughter, your partner in crime. You and I had a very special bond that it might have just been because we both were the babies of the family. It doesn't seem real that you are truly gone from your Earthy home, it feels like you are at one of your many trips to the hospital, in Florida snow birding or in Minnesota. I still am expecting you to come home so I can hug you and laugh with you and be silly. You have been the best Dad that us kids could have ever had. Thank you for being such an inspiration and witnessing about Jesus to everyone around you. You have so many people who have been blessed to have known you even if it was for a short time. My heart may hurt from sadness with not being able to see you physically but I rejoice that you are finally in your true home with friends, family and most importantly Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! Don't worry Dad you and I both know we didn't need to put on your tomb stone "Sarah did you finish your school work" since I pushed hard and finished last year. I will make you proud everyday and be the woman that you always wanted me to be. I will forever miss you and appreciate all the times we had together. Thanks for being my Dad, I love you dearly. Forever yours, Sarah (beedee, Sarie)

Our deepest sympathies and many prayers for peace and comfort to Judy and family. We are sad to learn of his passing, but know he is rejoicing with the Lord. Bill is a great man and really helped Bob and I when we were moving to Tennessee and Bob looked up to Bill in so many ways. I know Bill helped Bob tremendously with work and that will always be remembered. Rest easy, Bill and God bless your family.

I’m so grateful that God brought the Bartels and Dawson families together. I have so many happy memories of times we spent together. Happy memories of talks with Bill. He was always so kind and loving. Always so interested in what was going on in our lives. His friendship with my Dad was priceless. Those two could really carry-on! Two great jokers that kept us all laughing. They were two sweet, kind and funny guys. There was so much “joy” around them. I’m going to miss Bill. I’m going to miss his smile, his laughter. Bill and Judy had a marriage I admired. They loved each other well. Praying for comfort and sending all our love to Judy and all the family.
