Butch was born in Iron Mountain Michigan to Bernice and August Lundin on June 22, 1943. He had 2 brothers, George and Russell, and 2 sisters, Betty and Evelyn. Living very close to Pine Mountain ski area, he learned to snow ski at an early age at Pine Mountain. He was an avid skier and racer, skiing many of the western mountains and helicopter skiing in Canada. Even with his disability, he was able to ski sitting with the help of Adaptive Adventures. He served his country as an M.P. in Vietnam from 1964-1966. He worked at Harley Davidson until 1985 when he started his own business restoring aluminum trim for antique cars. He was well known in the restoration business for his knowledge in trim parts and his attention to detail. He married Linda Marten October 13, 1979. He enjoyed sailing with his friend David, fishing, skiing, and his Corvette. He will be truly missed. The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice for their care.
