Passed away November 26, 2009 in Bremerton, WA ,age 84. Bob was born June 2, 1925 in Milwaukee to Earl and Amanda (nee Petersen) Lankow. He attended Rufus King High School and graduated in 1946. He served as a Seaman First Class in the U. S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 on the USS LST 500. Bob saw action during 2nd wave landings on Omaha Beach in France on "D" Day in 1944 and was a member of the Washington Chapter and National LST Association. He enjoyed traveling and loved fine dining.Bob was preceded in death by his wife Deanie (nee Fox) Lankow. He is survived by his sister June (Pete) Welzbacker of Seabeck, WA, sister-in-law Pat (Dick) Balsey, and many nieces and nephews in WA and WI. Visitation at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK, CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES Friday December 11, 10am-12pm. Funeral Service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kitsap Hospice, P.O.
