Cherished grandfather to Terri (Dan), Jenny (Mike), Robert (Lkhama), Lisa (Mateo), Alex, Matthew, Rebecca and Leslie (Zach), and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear uncle to Mike (Karen) Magedanz and Ann (the late Bill) Otto. Also loved by other nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday, February 13, 4:00-6:45 PM. Memorials in Robert's name to Holy Apostles Catholic Church would be appreciated.Robert was a past Commander for American Legion Post #449 in Brookfield, originally in Elm Grove. He went to Marquette High School and University and was a member of Semper Fi Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during WWII. After the war, he started Pfeifer Construction Company. Some of his accomplishments include Milwaukee Train Station, Nicolet High School, St. Joseph's Hospital, Port of Milwaukee Passenger Terminal, Holy Apostles Catholic Church and School in New Berlin and McCormack Hall at Marquette. He subdivided and built homes in Monterey Subdivision. Robert went on to receive his masters degree at UWM and stayed on as a professor of architecture.We will always remembers Bob's sense of humor and love of music and how important his faith and family were to him.
