March 17, 2011. Age 90. Bob was born January 17, 1921 to John and Marie Pfeffer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Bob was an accomplished and successful businessman who joined Badger Meter Inc. as the tool room foreman and progressed through the ranks to become President and COO. Under his tenure, Badger Meter grew from about 25 employees to become a world leader in meter manufacturing. Bob was also a past President of Ozaukee Country Club, Mequon, Wisconsin.Bob was preceded in death by Margaret, his loving wife of 62 years, his youngest brother Melvin Pfeffer and his parents. He is survived by children Peter Pfeffer of Port Washington, Wisconsin, Steve (Janet) Pfeffer of Austin, Texas and Roberta "Robbie" (Dave) Carlson of Waterford, Wisconsin. Others include grandchildren Brian (Jessica), Kelly and David Carlson, Ann, John and Michael Pfeffer, and great grandchildren Brandon and Samantha Carlson. Also surviving is one brother, Lester Pfeffer.Bob was happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren. He left work on his lunch hour everyday for months to rock his first grandchild, Brian. Bob was also an avid woodworker and golfer. He especially enjoyed coaching his boys in baseball. He loved watching sports on TV and was a true Packer fan to the end.Visitation at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 22, at 2:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 4:00 PM.
