Dad went home on Friday, February 13th, 2015 at the age of 89 after a courageous two and a half year battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Ostner) of 64 years. Together they had 8 children. Robert was preceded in death by his little angel, his grandson Douglas, his daughters Karen, Catherine, Julie and granddaughter Angel. He will be missed by his surviving children David (Pam), Kevin, Michael (Joanne), Patrick (the late Cheryl) and Suzanne (Scott). He was also "Dad" to Sara (Daniel), Joshua (Jessica) and Joseph. He will forever be known as "Boompa" to his Kayla and Ryan. He will also be greatly missed by 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
To Dr. Erica Swanson, Meghan with Horizon Hospice and the staff that we were lucky enough to have met at St. Mary's Ozaukee Hospice, "Thank You" for all of your care and compassion during this difficult time. And an extra-special "Thank you" to Joshua and Joey–they were his at-home caregivers who loved him very much. Both did anything and everything they could for him.
We love you Dad and we miss you very much. You will forever be in our hearts and we know that you are now at peace and are in no more pain.
To honor Robert's final wish, he has requested that no services be held.
