Rosetta Jones was born November 2, 1936, to the union of Otis and Dorothy Shelton, in Mexico, Missouri, the youngest of three children.
Rosetta graduated High School in Mexico, Missouri and furthered her education attending Technical College in Topeka, Kansas where she studied Cosmetology and later received a State License.
Rosetta accepted Christ at a early age, and was reunited with Gospel Lutheran Church were she volunteered as a greeter, was part of Women Ablaze Bible Study, and a server at different Church events (her favorite was Easter Breakfast until she retired from the kitchen a few years ago).
Her passion was baking. Rosetta was known for baking chocolate chip cookies, fudge, German chocolate, and Sock-It-To-Me cakes. Family members and friends always looked forward to getting a special treat on their birthday. She also enjoyed reading, going to the park, and there was always a puzzle on the dining room table being worked on with her and her husband.
Rosetta was united in marriage to Louis C. Jones, her husband of 62 years. During this time they were blessed with five children.
She silently closed the door to this life on July 5, 2018.
She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband Louis C. Jones; and four daughters Debra (Ken) Thomas, Peggy (Minister Timothy) Medley, Annette Jones, and special daughter Clara Gaud. Preceding her in death were her daughter Jeannette Jones and son Roger Jones.
She loved her five Grandsons Anthony (LaToya) McMillon, Tawaun McGill, Allen Jones, Nicholas (Raven) Jones and Deshaun McGill; twelve Great-Grandchildren; and a host of many brothers and sisters-in-law; cousins; friends; nieces; nephews; and her Gospel Lutheran Church Family.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; three Great-Grandchildren; her sister Joann Stapleton of Vandalia, Missouri; and brother Otis Shelton of Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral Service Friday, July 13, 2018, at Gospel Lutheran Church, 1535 W. Capitol Dr., Milwaukee, at 12:30 PM. Procession to Graceland Cemetery immediately following the service.
