Loving mother of John (Sally) Hassler, Kathryn (Jerry) Herbek, Karl (Laura) Hassler, Nancy (Jim) Fennessey, Michael (Rae Ann) Hassler, Gina (Don) Moldstad, Peggy (Jim) Prekop, Peter (Beth) Hassler, Paul Hassler, Miriam (Jim) Prochnow, and Joel (Lori) Hassler. Proud grandmother of 44 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Survived by sisters Emmy and Aggie. Preceded in death by son Joel Keith, a granddaughter, a grandson, & great-grandson. Also preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday September 11, 2011 from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM with funeral service to follow at Grace Lutheran Church 1209 North Broadway in Milwaukee. A meal will be provided immediately following the service. Interment will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011, at 10:00 AM at Graceland Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Ruth's name to Grace Lutheran Church, SMDC Hospice Foundation, or Miller Dwan Solvay House Foundation.
