“Miss Ruth”

Joined with Christ on March 9, 2017 at age 91. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edith Hart and sister Helen Gunning. Ruth was watched over and will be missed by the special Pruhs, Reasby, and Gill families, and by dear friend Kenn Mauer. She will be missed by good neighbors and church friends. Unofficial Godmother of the Sabrena Bent family.

Ruth was confirmed in 1939 at Augustana Lutheran and graduated from Rufus King in 1943. Ruth retired from Woolworth Variety store after 39 years as a jewelry buyer, to care for her mother who died at age 96. She volunteered with Interfaith and the Wisconsin Food Bank through Lincoln Park Lutheran Church for 20 years. She also belonged to the Coalition for Hope Block Watch in different capacities for 29 years.

Ruth will be remembered and missed for her generosity and kindness.

Gathering at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53222,  on Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM. Memorial service at 1:00 PM with Reverend Harold Eppley officiating.
