Ruth Schmidt

Passed away peacefully Thursday April 18, 2019 at the age of 84.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph Schmidt III.  Loving Mother of Doris (Steve) Kersten, Kenneth (Kitya) Schmidt, Daniel Schmidt, Karen (Peter) Kowalchuk, and Joseph B. Schmidt.  Proud Grandmother  of Andrew Kersten, Laura (Brian) Blumreich, Holly Kersten and Natalee Schmidt.  Loving Great grandmother of Nicholas, Alex, Katie Ruth, Austin and Mackenzie.  She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Ruth is preceded in death by her daughter Joanne Rynders and her parents.

Ruth was a very active person in her church.  For over 50 years she loved singing and playing bells in the church choir.  She also volunteered for the church and many other organizations and was a very loving caregiver to many people.  She will always be remembered fondly by her bright loving smile that lightened up any room that she entered.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  Funeral service at 4:00 PM.
