Ryan Hohm, 36, of Waukesha, Wisconsin passed away on January 5, 2022. Beloved husband of Nicole Hohm (nee Nowers). Devoted father of two daughters. Loving son of Gottfried Hohm and Shirley (nee Hughes) Hohm. Also survived by his siblings Jason (Christine), Christina, Isabella, Cassandra, Jedediah, Josiah, Michaela, Joshua, Rebecca and Hezekiah Hohm; grandmother Carol Hughes.

Preceded in death by grandparents, Ulrich and Erna Hohm and Charles Hughes.

Ryan was a proud U.S. Marine Corp Veteran who served in Iraqi Freedom from 2007 to 2008.

He was an avid golfer and hunter. He always knew how to say the right thing at the right time, bringing comfort to those who needed it. He was selfless, treating everyone he met with kindness and warmth. But above all, he enjoyed being there for his family.

Ryan was the best #GirlDad. He was a devoted husband who always put his family first. His parents could not have asked for a better son. He was a great friend. He will truly be missed by all.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Monday, January 17, 2022, from 4:00 PM – 6:45 PM. Service to follow at 7:00 PM. Interment at Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 South Prairie Avenue, Waukesha, Wisconsin on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM (meet at main entrance).

I am so very sorry for your loss. God Bless his wife and girls. Ryan was a joy in my life, I always looked forward to seeing him. I pray for the peaceful repose of his soul.

Ryan and I worked together for the last year. He covered my maternity leave and even helped me with a charity golf outing supporting a cause that meant a lot to me. It was a ton of work and I'm pretty sure he regretted that offer at some point but he took an active role and made a huge difference to a lot of people that were impacted by the funds we raised that day. Ryan always asked me how I was doing, how my kids were, He was kind, funny, he really cared about people and it showed. I miss him. He was a phenomenal teammate and a better friend. He always talked about his family and was so proud of his girls. When I named my youngest Marlowe, he said I should call her Lolo because he loved that nickname for his daughter. We call her that, and I love it too. I am so sorry for your loss, Ryan was one in a million.

I’m so very sorry for the sudden loss of your son Ryan. I know this must be a very trying time for y’all. You have a family that cares for and loves one another deeply. I know Ryan and his Grandpa, Ulrich and Grandma, Erna are together in heaven. They are free from the sickness of sin. They have been given a clean heart. One free from the curse of sin and defect in this world. I didn’t know Ryan personally. I do know a good name is better than gold. I’ve heard some beautiful things about Ryan and his honorable choices that reflect his good name. You are rightly, proud of him. God bless you, and bring each one of you strength, and peace during this time. I pray for the comfort that comes from knowing that we (who serve and love our Lord) do not mourn as others would mourn. Shocked to hear this news. Though my interactions with Ryan was very short, but his energy, smile and work ethics is something I will always remember. Great guy. Hope his family gets enough strength during this tough time.

i barely knew Ryan, we worked together for about a year, but glad I got to know him. Although we started working together in social distancing times, we spent several company outings together and always had fun! The best times were the (daily) morning meetings. Ryan being the new guy was teased at first but being a Marine I don't think it was anything he couldn't handle. He even started teasing all of us back. Once Ryan learned we were an easy-going group in the meetings he started wearing hats, I mean lots of hats. I don't recall him wearing the same one twice. He must have a 100 or more! Ryan, we miss you already but thank you for your service to this country and bringing smiles everyday to work. Prayers for your family.

I am so very sorry to hear that Ryan passed away. I was his bus driver for the MBA program. My heart just hurts for all his family & friend. He loved to talk to me about his daughters. Blessed to have known him. Praying for you at this difficult time. Again, I am so sorry. Lynn

Ryan was a wonderful person, who will be deeply missed. Prayers and comfort to Nicole and the girls and to the entire Hohms family.

I worked with Ryan at TotalTek. He was such a gentleman, a go-getter, and someone who jumped at the chance to improve and do the right thing. He was such a good sport constantly being razzed in company meetings, but he held his own bringing the laughs with his Ted Lasso background and sporting a mustache. My favorite memory is the epic photo of his Macho Man Randy Savage costume he shared with us at our Halloween party. Your kindness and happy countenance will be missed, Ryan!

Prayers goes to the family!! I’m so sorry to hear this I was friends with his mother SHIRLEY and father Godfrey. And I new his family for years we grew up as kids. My prayers go out to the family his wife his children mom dad sisters brothers grandmother.

My parents were friends with Ryan’s grandparents and parents. I remember seeing Ryan several times as a young man. Our deepest sympathies to your family.
