Scott A. Montgomery

Scott passed away March 8th, 2019, at the age of 59.

Scott was born in New Berlin, WI on January 10, 1960. Devoted son of Irma and the late Robert Montgomery; cherished brother of Bruce (Kaye), Lynne (Gordy) and the late Gail (Rich). Scott will be deeply missed by his nieces (Tara, Marissa, Megan) and nephew (Joel).

Scott graduated from New Berlin West High School in 1978. He attended Fox Valley Technical Institute and graduated in 1981 with a degree in Conservation Technology. Scott was an outdoor enthusiast. In 1981, he moved to Fort Collins, CO where he worked as a Forest Technician/Timber Marker. In the next few years, he became a Forest Fire Fighter in Paris, AK, and Greybull, WY. Scott eventually moved back to Wisconsin and received a degree in Landscape Management from MATC with honors. Scott was then hired by Davey’s Tree Service where he worked as an arborist until his death.

Scott was an active member at the Ojibwa Archery Club where he shot on archery leagues and volunteered for club events. He made everlasting bonds with his archer brothers and sisters. Additionally, he was a member of the Wisconsin Traditional Archers and Waukesha County Conservation Alliance where he was a board member. Scott also was a proud 25-year member of Sons of Sobriety.

Scott loved hunting, fishing and bird watching. He was a huge Brewers fan. He also enjoyed collecting Native American artifacts and reading about their culture.

Visitation to be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Friday, April 12, 2019, from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM. Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 PM.
