Shirley graduated from Washington High School in 1947. She worked at Wisconsin Telephone Company up until her marriage to James on September 25, 1948. She raised 5 children and then went back into the work force at Kohl’s Food Stores as a cashier. Shirley enjoyed cooking and was named “The Best Cook on the Block” in the Journal Sentinel Newspaper in the early ‘80s. She loved spending time in northern Wisconsin at the family cabin and played the slot machines whenever she had the chance. Shirley read numerous books in her spare time and played cards at the Wauwatosa Senior Center. She had a wonderful spirit and loved to spend time with family and friends, whether going out to eat or attending services at Spring Creek Church.
Anyone who met Shirley loved her spunky, fun-loving, charismatic personality that lit up any room she was in and those around her.
Shirley’s family would like to thank the staff at Compassionate Care Hospice, Comfort Keepers and Froedtert Hospital Cardiac Care Unit for their loving care and support.
