Stanley (“Stan”) Pauli, age 81, of Nashotah, Wisconsin passed away on December 8, 2020 of cardiac arrest.
A celebration of his life will be held on December 19, 2020 at Fox River Congregational Church N34W23575 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee, Wisconsin 53072. Visitation at 1:00 pm. Service at 2:00 pm.
Stan was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Lee, sons Dan (Stephanie) and Eric (Ann), step-children Lynn, Kerry, and Chris (Debbie), and grandchildren Ezra, Jake, Abby, AnnaLeah, Aedan, Kaitlyn “Kiki”, Olivia, Shamus, and Liam.
Stan was born in New Glarus, Wisconsin, and was very proud of his Swiss heritage. He attended New Glarus High School, University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and Syracuse University, where he received a full-ride science and math scholarship to complete his Master’s Degree. Upon graduation, Stan was a professor of Calculus within the University of Wisconsin system. He then began his career in Information Technology for the Milwaukee Public School system, where he worked for over thirty years and retired.
An avid athlete, Stan spent his retirement running, biking, and travelling. He completed two marathons and several bike tours ranging from Wisconsin and Arizona to Slovenia.
In 2018, he biked 350 miles over a seven day period throughout Northern Wisconsin.
Stan and his wife, Lee, travelled the world together. Internationally, they loved Barcelona, Spain. State-side, their favorite places included Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Portland, Oregon, where they visited Dan, Eric, and their families. Locally, he enjoyed having coffee and lunch with his grandson, Ezra.
Stan was very involved in Fox River Congregational Church, where he served on many committees and helped plant flowers on the grounds. He planted over 50 trees at his home and especially loved growing vegetables each season.
Stan loved many things in his life, but his main love and devotion was his family, his wife, children and grandchildren. He was very devoted to his wife Lee. Everyone who met Stan loved him- he will be missed and continued to be loved by all.
