CB, l remember the first day you introduced me to Steve, so many years ago. I knew that day you two were made for each other. Steve was such a good man, with a heart as big as he was. Remember, he is still looking after you from above. Love Sharon

CB...not sure what to say or how to say it. You've been in my world since I was little. Steve ever since you guys met. What a great human he was. Always welcomed us when we popped in..usually unannounced. I share in your grief. May he rest easy. I'm pretty sure he and dad have met up and played a round or 2 of golf and had beers after. You are in my thoughts. Love ya Doc!

Goomba, your humor and patience with ladies in the midst of serious shopping trips will be sorely missed. Have loved you and the family since we met, and my birthdays won't be the same without you calling to remind me that I am again older than you for the year. So glad I was able to spend many travels with you and CB. LOTS of love goes with you. We will be standing by CB. Poohie.

Steve was the kindest man. I always remember looking up to him and enjoyed all of our Smith-Rice family reunions in Allerton. He always made the trip and especially enjoyed talking to him during his recent visit to Dad's memorial service. Steve will be greatly missed by all.

It is difficult to find the words that describe the loss of Steve, for Carol most specially. Steve was a friend and help to all that met him. He was Carol's right and left hand and as such is irreplaceable. I am sure he is with those who preceded him in death in the presence of God. He was a good man!
