Stephen “Steve” Schneider

Passed away peacefully with family at his side on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the age of 92.

Loving husband of Selma (nee Fiebich) for nearly 68 years, proud dad of Inge (Terry) Heidmann and Lucy his loving cat.  He was the oldest child followed by the late Maria (late Ignatz) Ohly, the late Jacob (Shirley) Schneider and Vic (Cheryl) Schneider.  He will be missed by his sister-in-law Alma (late Eduard) Lerner and brother-in-law Helmut (Annie) Fiebich and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was born on April 14, 1929 to Jakob and Elizabeth Schneider in Slatina, Yugoslavia.  He immigrated to Milwaukee Wisconsin in 1952.  He married his wife Selma in 1954 and worked at the Falk Corporation as a Crane Operator from 1952 to 1998 when he retired.  He loved nature especially working in his yard tending to his raspberry patch and fruit trees.

Steve was a member of Spielmannszug Milwaukee since 1965.  He enjoyed working at Germanfest, the Bockbier Fest and other club festivities.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin from 10 AM until 11:30 AM. Funeral service to begin at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be used to plant a tree in Stephen’s honor in Marx Park in the Town of Brookfield where he enjoyed the July 4^th Celebrations.
