Terrance P. LaCasse, 74, of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He was born September 7, 1949, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of the late Joseph and Florence (Gessner) LaCasse. Terry was married to Carol Anne Sooger on June 10, 1971, at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. He graduated from USMA in 1971 and served in the United States Army until 1976. He then worked in the trucking industry, most notably for 26 years at Tankstar USA, Inc, retiring as a vice president in 2012; while working, he earned his master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Terry was a longtime member of Oakwood Church in Hartland, Wisconsin. He greatly enjoyed serving as an elder, a Bible teacher, and a small group leader. He played trumpet in the church orchestra and loved playing with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed home improvement projects and working in the yard, planting trees wherever he lived.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carol; their four children, Peter (Kate) LaCasse, Phillip (Becky) LaCasse, Colleen (Rich) Katte, and David (Stephanie) LaCasse; grandchildren Elliott, Benjamin, Emily, Abigail, Ellie, Henry, Caroline, Grant, David, Lucas, and Samuel; sisters Eleanor Treole and Gail Robertson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph LaCasse, and brother-in-law Lou Treole.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Oakwood Church, 3041 Oakwood Road, Hartland, Wisconsin, with visitation preceding at 9:00 AM.
