Theodore “Theo” John Wilho Zaja

Our tiny hero, Theodore Zaja “Theo” lost his long and brave medical battle on January 1st, 2022 at the age of one year old, but not before leaving his mark on the world and our hearts. Theo was born on August 10th, 2020, to his parents Kory and Theadora, in Greendale, Wisconsin. Theo loved reading books, playing with his toys, and laughing with his family. He was an adventurous and sweet boy who always put a smile on everyone’s face around him, no one was just a friend, nurse, or therapist to Theo, everyone who touched his life was instantly considered a loved one.

Theo is survived by his parents Kory and Theadora, brother Bennett, sister Evelyn. He was a cherished grandson to Anthony and Theresa Hamalainen-Watts, Kevin Zaja Sr. Julie Zaja, Kevin Fegler, and beloved nephew to Katie and Shane Dietrich, Dahlia Boardman, Kevin Zaja Jr., and Taylor and Mike St. John. He also leaves behind cousins and loved ones too many to list. His godparents, Cassandra Aimers and Andrew Punak and Joe and Lexy Hawtrey raise Theo in prayer. Theo’s “second home” was Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and his family is endlessly grateful for the care and love he received from all the staff, nurses, and doctors.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM on January 10, 2022 at at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin with a service following.

The family welcomes everyone to wear their favorite superhero shirt or costume to honor Theo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family to help Bennett and Evelyn honor their brother’s memory.

New, unopened toys will also be accepted and donated to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Theo’s Honor.
