It saddened me to learn of Tom’s death. I met Tom when he worked in Birmingham. I spoke with him in January and he told me of his condition. He was a great fun loving guy that didn’t let situations get him down for long. It was my pleasure to be considered a friend. I was looking forward to seeing him on his trek to Florida. Rest In Peace and thank you for your service

Tom was my cousin and was older than me by about 13 years. He was actually closer to my brother Mike's age, so I rarely saw him as a kid. But a few years ago I ran into him where he worked and shortly thereafter, he moved into a senior apartment building I manage in Oconomowoc. He only lived here a couple of years, but during that time we became friends. He told me lots of stories about Greece, the festivals he used to run and also about all of the famous people he met doing that. He was a great story teller. He also had a good sense of humor. He made the very best baklava too and shared some with me! He often talked about fishing on his boat and visiting Greece. He loved that country! I was shocked to hear of his passing and will greatly miss his friendship. Rest in peace Tom. My deepest condolences to his daughter Leah, brother Bill and all of his other relatives and friends.
