Thomas D. O’Brien, age 86, was called Home to the Lord on Good Friday, April 10, 2020, at Luther Manor Health Center in Wauwatosa. A man driven by faith who had a brave and beautiful soul. He had an innate ability to captivate the hearts of strangers and friends alike through poetry, song, and wisdom. It was an honor and gift to know him, to be loved by him, to learn from him, and to simply be in his presence. Remarkable Father of Scott (Piper) O’Brien, Michael (Marie) O’Brien, Patrick O’Brien, Jennifer (Ian Martin) O’Brien. Beloved Grandfather of Kelly (Matthew) McCaig, Casey, Cody, Kalene, and Damien, as well as Proud Great-Grandfather of Adalynn and Samaya. Brother of Timothy (Kay)
O’Brien, Brother-in-Law of Jim (Peggy) Knorr, and adored by many other family and friends not mentioned here. We hope his legacy of love remains with you all.
Preceded in death by his wife Marilyn (nee Knorr) O’Brien, daughter Lori (Ted O’Brien) O’Brien, Father Roger O’Brien, Mother Elizabeth (Keena) O’Brien, Step Mother Kathryn (Keena) O’Brien, Brother Terrance O’Brien, and Sister Mary Elizabeth (Farrell) O’Brien.
Memorial Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive Brookfield, Wisconsin 53072, on Friday, July 30, 2021, from 4:00 PM – 5:45 PM. Memorial at 6:00 PM with social to follow. Private inurnment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Tom’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Luther Manor for their loving care.
