Thomas J. Barrie

Born February 28, 1949, to Thomas and Shirley Barrie in Port Washington, Wisconsin. Preceded in death by his brother Richard John Barrie and father Thomas J. Barrie. Survived by mother Shirley Barrie, niece Kristin Barrie and grand-nephews Marek and Quin Engle and grand-niece Claire Engle; niece Michelle Burmeister (Rob) and grand-niece Evelyn Burmeister and grand-nephew Robby Burmeister.

Tommy brought joy to everyone who met him – from spreading Christmas cheer dressed up as Santa Claus to making his many friends laugh with a funny joke or comment. His love for his family and the staff at St. Coletta, where he lived in Jefferson, Wisconsin since 1958, ran deep and his loyalty to those closest to him was unmatched.

When Tommy was not listening to classic country music or enjoying a movie, he spent time outdoors on his rocking chair, gardening and working in the green house in his younger days, or participating in outings or activities with St. Coletta’s Golden Options program. Tommy had a strong faith in God and he showed Jesus’ love to everyone he met.

Visitation at St. Coletta of Wisconsin, Inc., N4637 County Road Y, Jefferson, Wisconsin, on Thursday, November 4, 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM. Time of Remembrance 12:45 PM – 1:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM. Private burial in Wauwatosa Cemetery.
