He was a son, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, and a friend. A retired police officer, a handyman, a rock, a comedian, an animal lover, a hero, and a source of joy, support, comfort, and great sincerity. Tim was born on March 26th, 1959 and passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 6th, 2019, at the age of 60, after his brave and surprising battle with heart failure — and that was not nearly enough time for those who lived alongside him. Tim will be constantly missed, deeply remembered, and leaves a memory we will not soon forget.
Tim was born and raised in Milwaukee. He attended John Marshall High School and later went on to the Milwaukee Police Academy. At 21, Tim married Linda and started a family. They welcomed three beautiful children together: Laura, Lisa, and John. Tim spent 32 years working third shift for the Milwaukee Police Department, first as beat cop with the 4th District and later as an Identification Technician/Forensic Investigator at the Milwaukee Police Administration Building. Once retired, Tim loved to spend his free time riding his Harley, finding new projects, spending time with his family and grand-dogs, watching old movies, feeding the birds and squirrels, and playing pool with friends. Tim was also an avid Packer and Brewers fan. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories. He was a man of many talents and was very willing to lend a helping hand. Tim was a perfectionist, which meant everything he did was done perfectly and to the best of his ability; he gave all of himself to every project. He had a big heart and will be greatly missed.
He is now reunited with his beloved late mother, Judith (nee Gunkel), his father, John, and his favorite dog Gracie. Survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda (nee Lee). Loving father of Laura (Steve) Springob, Lisa (Mark) Rusch, and John. Proud grandfather of Luka Zadrima (15), Sam (10) and Riley (8) Springob, and Theo Rusch (2 months). Dearest brother to Mike and Karyn (Jeff) Yets. Adored by his grand-dogs JD, Ernie, Aspen, and Wilder and his pet Bob the cat. Loved by other relatives and many friends.
Gathering at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 from 10:30 AM – 12:45 PM. Memorial service at 1:00 PM.

“May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”
