Passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late William Rieck. Loving mother of Susan (Robert) Husslein, Cindy (Donald) Griffin, Janet (Randy) Bartel and Carol (Thomas) Charon. Proud grandmother of Alexander and Sean Husslein, Samuel, Benjamin and Sara Griffin, Tyler and Maxwell Bartel and Jonathan and Nicholas Charon. Cherished sister of Shirley Clauer and sister in law of Marolyn Meyer. Valerie is survived by other relatives and friends.
She was a graduate of Pulaski High School class of 1952 and Wisconsin Teachers College class of 1956.
Valerie is proceeded in death by her parents Edwin and Olive Meyer, sister, Beverly Jones, and her brother Edwin Meyer, Jr.
Visitation to be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, from 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM. Service at 11:30 AM. Burial to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mission Creek Memory Care and St Croix Hospice.

I recently heard from Marolyn Meyer (Eddie's wife) of Shirley's passing. I am her cousin. Her Mom (Olive) and my Mom (Vera) were sisters. I have lots of good memories growing up of the families visiting one another. She and Bill are together once again.
