Virginia Mary Nelson (nee Klores)

Passed away peacefully on December 30, 2022 at age 94. Virg was married to the late Jerome “Jerry” Nelson for almost 50 years. She was the beloved mother of Cindy (the late Mike) Stark and Sandy Nelson. Loving grandmother of Liz (Mike) Lindquist, Sam Stark, and proud great-grandmother of Mia, Eva, and Cal. She was loved by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Mary Klores, her siblings Stanley (Martha) Klores, Irene (Jack) Gollish, Reata (Ervin) Kitt, and dear friend Win Williams.

Virg and Jerry were the founders of Nelson Landscape Inc. They worked as a team to build a successful residential and commercial business for 31 years. Her focus was in the office as a receptionist and a bookeeper, while he was a designer and contract bidder. They were two peas in a pod who also enjoyed dancing, golfing, and traveling together.

Virg had a beautiful and sincere smile that accompanied her gracious and congenial personality. She loved to entertain, prepare gourmet meals, and laugh with her guests. Virg was an avid tennis player and drum majorette in her younger years and also a talented seamstress.
