Looking back over the past 12+ months the only word that I can find to describe our journey is a rollercoaster ride. From the moment we received the news it was cancer, your focus as a Mother immediately turned to Mike and I and would we be all right. Our only focus became you. We wanted to be there at your side supporting you however we could with our shoulders ready for you to lean on and our hands strongly interlocked with yours ready to charge ahead to fight this disease. Through your battle you and I had our good days and our bad days, but no matter what, we always knew at the end of the day that we loved each other unconditionally and we were there for each other ready to do it all over again. Through your fight, Mike and I marveled at your strength, courage, grace, determination and positive attitude that you kept from the very beginning to the very end of your fight. With every new hurdle, you would give us that look and say, "Find lets give it a try!" Mike and I would always sit back at the end of the day, so astonished by your courage and ask each other, "If this was happening to you or I could we be as strong as Mom and continue to fight as she does?" It is your continued strength that allowed us to stand strong together to support you as best we could during this time. Mom you are not only my Mother, but my best friend, always standing at my side with my hand tightly in yours encouraging me, supporting me, forgiving me and loving me. I am, also, truly blessed that you and Mike adored each other and were so close, because without him I could not have done all of this. We love you Mom and we will truly miss you. A special thank you to the many wonderful physicians, P.A.'s, R.N.'s and P.C.A.'s for their compassionate care of Mom.
