Dear Rick, Ty, Ricky and Jordan, We are so sorry for your loss. We wished so much we could have attended her memorial. I’m sure it was as beautiful as her. Losing someone you love so much isn’t fair. We wish there was something we could say or do that would help you all through this terrible time. Our hearts are breaking for you all. I loved Wendy so much, she truly was my dear forever friend that I shared the best time of my life with. A day hasn’t gone by that I haven’t thought of her without crying or laughing. The memories we shared together when we worked at Reinhardt and then after with you as a couple and a family are priceless. They are will forever be carried in my heart. Wendy was my first friend at the firm. I’ll never forget sitting out in that big lobby and her coming over to me, introducing herself to me and making me feel welcomed. From there came the most amazing, beautiful friendship of my life. That was your wife/mom always making those who met her feel welcomed and loved right off the bat. This next sentence comes from one of my favorite poems. “Everyone leaves footprints in your memory but the ones that leave footprints in your heart are the ones you will truly remember .” That is how I will always remember your wife and Mom.
