Wiley accepted Christ as his savior and was united with Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a member. He loved the word of God and he enjoyed talking about God’s greatness.
He loved the outdoors, especially the parks, that’s where he could appreciate the beauty of God’s creation and walk through it.
Wiley was united in holy matrimony to Melinda Johnikin in 2006 and it was their foundation of love that sustained them through anything and everything.
Wiley worked various jobs and no matter how large or small the job he always gave his best. He loved bringing things back to life, whether it was with a coat of paint, repairing, or purchasing something new. He was always willing to help anyone with any project, repairs, or tasks if you needed help, he was the friend you could call on.
Wiley King Sr. departed this life on October 16, 2021, he was preceded in death by his daughter Kierra King and Father Lorenzo King Sr.; and Mother Martha Jean King.
Wiley leaves to celebrate his homegoing, his wife Melinda King, and his children, Natasha Pilcher of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Talesha King, Wiley King Jr., and Steven King (Amber) of Des Moines, lowa, Jeffrey Johnikin, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Janelle Parrott (Romell) of Racine, Wisconsin and his grandchildren Julien Johnikin, Layla Johnikin, Zaniya King, Keyiley King, Isis King, Romell Parrot Jr. Six siblings, Lorenzo King, Jr., Carneta King, Norma Jean King-Garner (Dexter) Valerie King, Andrews King, and Londell King and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friends.
Memorial Gathering Friday, November 5, 2021 at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM. Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.
