William C. Besgrove “Bill” passed away peacefully with his daughters at his side on Friday, September 9, 2022 and was reunited with his beloved wife, Mert (nee Felder). He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Eleanor Besgrove and his brother, Jack Besgrove. Loving dad of Barb (David) Besgrove-Spence, Patty (Marc) Eisner, Kathy Besgrove (Peter Heflin) and Karen (Mike) Vega. Proud grandpa of Jonathan (Meaghan Hoops) Eisner, Benjamin (Maura Bradley) Eisner, Meredith (David Cornell) Spence, Erika (Alex Johnson) Spence and Claudia (Austin Wage) Vega. Cherished great-grandpa of Parker and Molly Hoops-Eisner. Bill will be missed by family and friends, including the W.A.B.B. Rod & Gun Club.

Bill enjoyed many things during his lifetime. First and foremost was spending time with his family. Those fond memories will remain with the family forever. Bill loved the outdoors. He loved boating with family and friends, especially on the Wolf River and Pewaukee Lake, where Bill and Mert lived for several years. Bill also spent his lifetime hunting. He would go up to the gun club during hunting season many weekends over the years. Bill also liked fishing. Bill and Mert loved taking their RV out on the road, traveling all around the country, sometimes with other family members tagging along for the ride.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Kirkland Crossings and Agrace Hospice for their dedication and kindness to Bill.

Bill and Mert were classmates and friends for life. Bill was a star basketball player at WA Central (Class of 57). Mert was his star cheerleader in everything he did. I would like to extend my condolences to Bill’s entire family. I had the pleasure of knowing Bill through my father, Harold Goede, at Kirkland Crossings. Bill and my dad were “lunch buddies” while they were both in Assisted Living and in memory care in the Arbors. They developed a friendship and I am very thankful that they had each other during those difficult days! May they both Rest In Peace!!
