William Carl Beck, “Schug”

Age 75, of Pewaukee, went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2013. Loving husband and best friend of Jean (nee Seifert). Dear Dad of Patricia (Timothy) Spencer of Portland, OR; Judith Beck of Pewaukee; and Sharon (Mack) Azinger of Milwaukee. Special Papa of Graham and Andrew Spencer, Casey and Chase Beck. Also loved by other relatives and a multitude of friends. Preceded in death by his parents Emily and Ed, and brother Tom.

Bill is remembered for both his sense of humor and sense of adventure. After receiving his business degree at UWM, Bill entered the Army as a lieutenant during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Bill served as the President of the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association and worked in finance the majority of his career. During his personal time, Bill was a member of the Pewaukee Yacht Club, where he enjoyed sailing his MC in the summer and ice boating in the winter. Bill took pleasure in family vacations in Florida, out West and in Northern Wisconsin. He lived to the fullest while participating in water and snow skiing, racquetball, scuba diving, and motorcycling.

Visitation at CHRIST EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, W240 N3103 Pewaukee Road (Hwy 164) in Pewaukee on Monday, August 19, at 12:00-12:45 PM. Funeral service at 1:00 PM. Committal at Valhalla Cemetery. Memorials in Bill's name are welcomed to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.

The family sends special appreciation and thanks to Jackie and her hospice staff at Wheaton Franciscan, as well as the full nursing staff at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital that cared for Bill in his last weeks.
