Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017, due to the ravages of renal failure and Good Pasture Syndrome at age 38. Treasured son of Christine T. Cianciolo (nee Tagliavia), special friend Pete Kartanos. Survived by his grandmother Patty Richards of Arizona. Loved by aunts and uncles; Anne (Joe) Totoraitis, Jack (Peg) Tagliavia, Maria Tagliavia, the late Joan (Tom) Kuerschner and Margaret (Tom) Lynn. Proud and loving cousin of Joe, Tony, Anne, Beth, Michael, Maria, Tony, Christine, Jim, Mike, Jerry, Andy and his god-daughter, Molly. He will be dearly missed by a large group of his fellow Marquette University friends who greatly supported him during his illness. Their love and support meant everything to Christine and the family. She thanks her family and friends for their kindness. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Mardi. Preceded in death by his father, William E. Richards, Jr.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield Friday, July 21, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Wauwatosa Catholic Grade School or to the family, are appreciated. Bill graduated from Marquette University High School and received his Master’s degree from University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He was passionate about his career in non-profit leadership and determined to give back to the community.
