





























































































Dr. William J. “Bill” Stekiel Ph.D., age 95 passed away peacefully on May 2, 2023 at St. Camillus Senior Community Center. He was born on January 1, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He is the devoted and loving husband of Dolores for 67 years. Dear dad of Julie (Patrick) Fuller and Tom (Jodie) Stekiel. Proud grandpa of Rebecca (Chis Petrovski) Stekiel, Andy Stekiel, Shannon (Luke Buffington) Fuller, Stephanie Fuller, Jennifer Fuller and Robert Fuller. Adoring great grandpa of Elizabeth Buffington.
Bill was a Professor Emeritus of Physiology at the Medical Center of Wisconsin where he joined the staff in 1955 and then went on to Marquette University Medical School. During his time with both schools he was active in research, teaching generations of physicians until his retirement in 2016.
the family would like to sincerely thank Dr.’s Stephen Malcolm, Brian Lewis, Michael Cinquegrani, Jack Keegan and the many physicians, nurses, staff and pastoral ministers for the kind, gentle and understanding environment at the St. Camillus Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facilities in Wauwatosa.
A visitation will take place at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1755 North Calhoun Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin, Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9:00 AM Entombment to follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha, Wisconsin. Please note day of separation between visitation and mass.
