Passed away on November 12, 2021 at the age of 39. Proud son of Paul Eggers. Fun-loving brother of Eric (Christal) Eggers. Adoring uncle of Farrah. Zach will also be missed by numerous other family and friends.
Zach was preceded in death by his mother Sandra and grandmothers Christine Emig and Winifred “Winnie” Eggers.
A confident child, Zach always had an easy time meeting people and striking up a conversation. Favorite boyhood activities included riding a bicycle, soccer, LEGO, coin collecting, and computers. Before graduating from Pius XI High School, he got involved with some dramatic productions, where he began many lifelong friendships.
Zach knew the importance and power of knowledge, and he pursued it at every opportunity. He majored in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and History at the University of Wisconsin Madison, which allowed him to fill numerous positions in the field of biomedical technology, where his research was published and led to at least one patent. Reading up on historical matters and keeping up with current events provided him with fascinating, well-informed viewpoints to share with others willing to listen and/or debate.
Living out a zeal for new experiences and connections, Zach traveled the world, with destinations including Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Ecuador, and Hong Kong.
Zach had a talent for photography and capturing the perfect portrait for others. He won multiple awards for his work, captured on his travels and at events featuring family and friends.
Gathering and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. We will then meet afterward at the Eagles Club, 709 N Grandview Blvd, Waukesha, WI; drinks are self-pay.
