To John's family and friends, he was a great man and a hard worker. He taught me a lot about life. Also he would do anything for you. I will miss him dearly.

To John's family: John always had a kind word or observation in my frequent trips to the station. Old car talk, particularly about Imperials, was always just plain fun. Thank you for being a voice of Hales Corners, a source of local history, and an all around good man. You will be missed.

To the whole Haita family I wish to extend my deepest sympathies and prayers of peace during this sad time. Good fortune caused John and I to meet nearly 30 years ago. Working around and in the Village kept us in frequent contact. John was such a genuine and caring person that even the briefest of encounters never failed to leave me with a smile. The whole community was better off for him being active in it and the support he gave to the police department in particular was immeasurable. We all owe him a debt of gratitude. I pray that as he now rests in the arms of angels that we can honor him by living by the example he gave us. May God Bless you John!

Your dad was so kind and welcoming to Brian and I. I will miss seeing him driving his truck around Hales Corners. Please accept our deepest sympathies as you endure the pain of losing your husband, father and Grandpa.
