A Thankful Close to the Year

Two words you’ll hear often around Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Service are, “Thank you!”

In our day-to-day lives, helping Milwaukee, Brookfield, and New Berlin families with funerals, cremations, and burials, we know a little gratitude can go a long way to healing and bolstering the spirit. That’s why our staff finds it important to reflect on what we’re thankful for throughout the year, and for us, the families we serve top the list.

We often say our work at Krause doesn’t feel like work; serving people is our calling. We’re grateful we can help families honor and remember their loved ones in a deeply personal way. We realize how shocking it is to lose someone close to you – whether or not you were expecting it. The days following a death are overwhelming, with many details to get in order and complex emotions to work through. That’s where our experience comes in. Really, that’s why we’re here. To care for those who are grieving. To make their lives a little easier. This is a true blessing.

Whether we’re meeting to preplan arrangements, or arrange a funeral, memorial service, visitation, or reception for a relative, it’s a true privilege to come alongside families in this way. After all, many on our team grew up in the Milwaukee area and view those who walk through our doors as neighbors. We meet the most wonderful people every day and are reminded why families have been coming to Krause for more than 80 years.

Our high level of service, which we refer to as “The Krause Standard,” shows in everything we do as trustworthy professionals striving for excellence. Based on our Facebook and Yelp reviews, and the heartfelt comments we receive in writing and in person, Milwaukee families can tell the difference. We are so grateful to those who go out of their way to share these kind reviews with us and with their neighbors. It might seem like a little thing, but to us – it means everything.

As the year winds down, the question we would pose to you to ponder is: What has happened in the past 12 months that you are grateful for? Even if you had some difficult times, there is always something for which we can be thankful. Let’s all cling to the positive and enter the new year with a heart filled with gratitude.
