Priydarshan S. Shelgikar peacefully passed away on June 1, 2021, alongside his beloved cat, Hamilton. I was so saddened to hear about Darshawn’s passing. He was a great friend and I was lucky to have had some fun adventures with him. Charger games, we got lost in Tijuana one night, hung out for lunch, and me, him Scott would sit on our deck and tell stories for hours. He was so funny, the most generous, compassionate man who loved animals and he was such a blast to be around. I will truly miss him. Till we meet again, Jimmy.

Darshan was my brother. We loved to play sports in the yard when we were young. He was an amazing athlete, truly gifted. He showed me how to throw a baseball, shoot a basketball and drive a golf ball. Darshan was taken from us far too early, there were so many more things he wanted to do with his life. He will be missed.

What a magnificent person he was! Sensitive, charming, intelligent, extremely talented .
He was so sweet, loved kids...Remember him as a kid doting upon Radha, Ishu and Nachiket during his visit to India. Darshan was an introvert...his potential, talent in more than many ways remained unexplored.
His life story reminds me of Thomas Gray’s famous lines:
“Full many a gem of purest ray serene
The dark unfathomed caves of ocean bear
Full many a flower is born to blush unseen
And waste its sweetness on the desert air" ...
He will be missed forever.

Darshan, my dear cousin with an amazing smile will remain in our hearts for many reasons.
My first car ride in the US was under his supervision. I will never forget the patience he showed.
Also, I will never forget some of the carefree time we spent as children and how Darshan would chase my younger brother Vikram on being teased 'Darshu kaka'.
His passion for sculpting his physique was second to none but what was more appealing to my 16 year old son was the way he treated his body as a temple and how good he was with his nutrition.
Who would study Mathematical economics but a true academician!
Our hearts and prayers are with Suhas kaka, Sadhana atya, Aditi, Chinu, Anita and family.

You pulled your final Larry David moment by being late to your own funeral. You made CurbyourEnthusiasm come to life.
