Passed into Eternal Life on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at age 89. Cherished wife of the late George Papageorge. Beloved mother of Sim and Mark Boyle, Theodore Papageorge, James and Anne-Marie Papageorge and Despina Papageorge. Much loved and admired Nonee of William (Sara) Boyle, Anastasia (Nick) Fick, and Carrie Lynn Boyle, Mariana, Teddy and Tess Papageorge. Great-Nonee Tessie of Mark “Will”, Brynn, Kensley and Nina. Cherished daughter of the late James and Despina Topitzes. Tessie is further survived by her sister Harriette and Nicholas (Judy) Topitzes. She is preceded in death by brother William (the late Magdalene). Loved daughter-in-law of Theodore (Asimo) Papageorge and special sister-in-law of Alex (Gustave) Peters as well as many cousins. Also loved by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Tessie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Tessie always wanted to include all and make sure all were a part of the family. The house was always opened to visitors. She was proud of her Greek heritage. She was an active member with the Daughters of Penelope, Philoptochos Society and her Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Her passion was being a loving caregiver and always putting others first.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Trisagion at 6:30 PM. Additional Visitation at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 9400 West Congress Street, Milwaukee, WI on Thursday, May 20, 2021, 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM. Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Rev. Dr. Ciprian Sas officiating. Burial to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

I was so deeply saddened at the passing of my beloved Nouna Tessie. My sincere condolences to her family at the loss of this remarkable woman who deeply loved her entire family and friends, had a huge and kind heart, a marvelous dry sense of humor, and always provided sage advice to those of us who needed it. I loved her very much and will miss the role she played in my life. She will now join her beloved parents, Uncle George and Uncle Billy. May her memory be eternal.
