Anthony (Tony) Gaglione, Sr., age 72, loving husband of Kathleen, entered into eternal life with Christ on Monday, June 19, 2017. He was born on October 16, 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Phillip Gaglione, Sr. and Doris Mae Gaglione, née Conelly. Tony was a United States Air Force (USAF) Veteran and lifelong resident of Milwaukee, but retired to Rogers, Arkansas a few years prior to his passing.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathleen Gaglione, née Lammers, sons, Mario Phillip Gaglione (Shannon), and Anthony Gaglione, Jr. (Rebecca), one loving sister, Betty Jane O’Donnell (Terrance), two brothers Phillip Gaglione, Jr. (Mary Beth), Michael Thomas Gaglione (Julie), four grandchildren Marcus, Josephine, Matthew, and Sophia, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and a multitude of loving relatives and friends.
Tony graduated from Custer High School in 1962 and began service to his country in the Air Force in June 1965 and honorably served in Vietnam where he earned the National Defense Service Ribbon, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and the Presidential Unit Citation, the latter two of which he earned on three occasions. Upon his honorable discharge, he entered the workforce and retired from Milwaukee County Transit, where he served as a driver for over 20 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, the Packers, NASCAR, and spending time with his family and friends. He had a very kind heart, quick wit, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will begin at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The family will be there to greet relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home, Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM followed by a military graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery.
