A Harley Davidson enthusiast, Arnie took his last ride into heaven on May 21 following heart attack complications at the age of 76.
He was a loving father to Erin (Dave) Krill and Danielle (Nick) Sabato. He was a grandfather to Andrew, Aiden and Alexander. Arnie was preceded in death by parents Anita (Wichmann) and Heine Schnitker, along with siblings Jean (Robert) Johnson and Edward Schnitker.
Visitation at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 1650 North Brookfield Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin 53045, on Thursday, May 28 from 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM. Funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment at Highland Memorial Park.
Born on Feb. 16, 1944 in New Ulm, Minnesota, Arnie attended Manitowoc Lutheran High School prior to three years of service in the United States Army, rising to the rank of sergeant while stationed in South Korea.
He eventually earned a Master’s degree in computer science from Cardinal Stritch University and continued working as a software developer until retiring from Rexnord Corporation in Milwaukee.
In retirement, Arnie frequently rode his beloved motorcycle, becoming a member of the Harley Davidson Kettle Moraine chapter, for which he served as the club photographer. He also enjoyed playing the piano and watching Green Bay Packer games — when they were winning.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Christ the Lord Lutheran Church and School music programs.
