Premal Aaji, Guni Naat Bala Aaji had been such a strong support to me while I came alone to study abroad in the US. She was kind, caring, lovely, beautiful. She was the perfect aaji (grandma)! A grandma who could be like your best friend who supported, encouraged and motivated you throughout. I will miss talking to her and feeling the grandma love. Love, Namrata.

Manisha, Ravindra Rao and Suresh Rao greeted us with a smit hasya as we entered United States. Manisha brought pedhe, this pleasant lady made herself! The other day, we just happened to listen to a few words of a then popular song. At first we thought it was a record player. No! Manisha was singing in a very low voice. It was Manisha's melodius voice!

Manisha Talwalker was an extremely sweet and friendly lady. She and her husband Ravindra were one of the Marathi families the Laddu's came to know very well. Manisha was a great cook, and taught Jayashree Laddu how to made the delicious South Indian Wada. Manisha had attended the very first Sankranti in Milwaukee at our apartment at 4601 South First Street, Apt# 139 in Milwaukee. We did dohal jewan for Manisha’s first daughter Aparna with Neena Mote. So many sweet memories! Manisha, we will miss you, but want you to have eternal peace in Heaven! Jayashree and Atul Laddu

We were the residents of Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1971 till 1975. We came very close to Talwalkar family while we were there. Manisha was an excellent cook besides being a wonderful person. She also was a role model of dutiful wife and mother for her children. . She taught us a Nagpuri dish named "Gole Bhat". It is our family's most cherished dish. I remember helping Ravindra select his first car Chevy Nova. Those were the golden days. We pray for her heavenly abode. May God give her soul, a lasting peace.

We believe writing about these painful feelings actually helps the healing process. Writing about our feeling and also fears, validates them and helps us live though the pain and feelings of loss. Manisha was a fighter to the end & was blessed by her loving daughters, husband, relatives and a good number of friends including us since she first came to Milwaukee in early seventies. May her soul rest in peace!
