(Nee Bofiles) Born to Eternal Life October 4, 2017, age 87. Beloved wife of the late Nikitas “Nick” Athens. Dear mother of Nicholas (Marina) Athens, Francine (George) Klonis and Leon (Maria) Athens. Loving Yiayia of Alexandra, Victoria, and Paige Klonis, Vasilia and Nikitas Athens. Also loved by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Nikolaos and Konstantina “Dena” Bofiles.

‘Bessie was loving, kind and gentle. She loved her family, heritage and Greek traditions, which was reflected in the way she lived. She was an active member in the Greek community and proudly served her church. As the Matriarch, she enhanced the lives of her family, especially embracing the lives of her grandchildren. She will be truly missed.’
