Catherine “Cathy” Jean Bloom  (Nee Millard) / January 9, 1950 – March 8, 2023 / Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the age of 73, at The Kathy Hospice House in West Bend, WI.

Cathy is survived by her sisters-in-law: Cynthia Millard, Diana Anderson, Sandy (David) Martin, Kathy (Rob) Soderbloom, and her brother-in-law Uno (Jodi) Bloom. She will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Cathy was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Bloom, father, Walter Millard, mother, Catherine Millard, brothers: Douglas Millard and James Millard and sister-in-law, Carol Millard.

Cathy was born and lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until she met her husband, Richard and moved to Eagle River, Wisconsin. She retired from Vilas County in 2013, where she worked as a secretary. She loved to fish in Northern Wisconsin, play cards, spoil her dogs and spend time with her family.

We wish to express our deep appreciation to Anita and her caring staff at Hawthorn Manor in West Bend, WI and to The Kathy Hospice also in West Bend, WI for their dedication and compassionate care.

No service or visitation will be held at Cathy’s request.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Vilas County Animal shelter are welcomed.
