Joined her loving husband, John A. on October 27, 2021, at age 73, passing away peacefully following years of journey with Alzheimer’s disease. Her path through life was filled with a commitment to sharing love and happiness with others starting with her husband, John and two children, Aimee (Clay Fecht) Zana and Dean (Erin) Maniscalco. This was followed by gushing pride and overwhelming love for her grandchildren, Avery, Noah, Ella, Dillon, Rylan, Aiden, Grayson, and Hadley.
After graduating from Divine Savior-Holy Angels High School and beginning her collegiate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Cheri was introduced to the love of her life, John. She quickly found her way into his heart and that of his extensive family with her beauty, quiet intelligence, kindness and ability to put others at ease. While her early adult years were committed to raising her family and endlessly attending school and sporting events, she later enjoyed a successful career in mortgage banking where she helped so many in securing the means to the start of their own journeys. The story of her life is best told through those she impacted along the way. She was there to listen and find the positive, no matter how difficult the circumstances. She saw beauty not in worldly possessions but more so in the sun, air, flowers, and friendships that surround us. She shared those gifts with us through her art, cooking, gardening, and creativity in making the most basic of occasions special. She was a selfless daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed. Her peace came to her in seeking her heart and finding it in yours.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Cheri is survived by her dear sisters Lynne (James) Plaster and Susan (Joseph) Balistrieri along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and life-long friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Gordon G. Coffey, mother, Josephine A. Heaton and stepfather, Thomas V Heaton.
