Dave ("Mr. Kennedy") was my teacher from 3rd grade through 8th grade at Little Grove School. My first year he had all 8 grades in the same little one room school. Then we had a new school and there were 4 grades in one room. He was able to teach all of us at our different learning levels. In doing the math today, he was only in his mid twenties. Many of my classmates and I went on to be very successful in high school and beyond! He was also a neighbor and friend of my parents. They had many neighborhood gatherings and parties. They even vacationed together! After retirement, the Kennedys, Gassers, Nelsons, Behlkes, Schoeneckes, McHalskys and others still gathered for lunches until they were unable to travel or moved away. Dave was one of the youngest of this special generation that gave us so much. His half smile in the picture captures how I remember him and embodies his approach to life. May your special memories comfort you as you think of his life well lived. Kathy (Behlke) Eggener

I want to extend condolences from the members of Elizabeth Ministry at St. Joseph's Church in Hayward to the family of Dave Kennedy. Dave and Grace have been amazing supporters of our Ministry for as long as I can remember. Always so humble. I can't begin to tell you all the women and children who have been blessed by their assistance. May he rest in peace.
