David “Dave” J. Mudge

I've known Dave since the 1970's. I've run into him at countless train shows, fan trips, rail museums and programs. Not a close friend, but always friendly. He will be missed by those that knew him well, along with those that only met him at various events.

I first met Dave when I joined The Milwaukee Electric Railway & Transit Historical Society in 1986. He has been a dear friend for the past 31 years. His loss will be keenly felt by all of us who knew him. Goodbye dear friend. You will be missed.

I knew Dave from attending Milwaukee Transit slide shows with him at Meadowmere from 2010 to 2015. A very nice guy - I will miss him.

Dave was a 40 year member of the Milwaukee Lionel Railroad Club and a active member of the Southeastern Lionel Railroad Club in Racine Wisconsin. Dave was the ultimate member who donated his time and talent to both clubs in attending railroad shows,meetings,trips,and events. He received the Jim Roever Award at the All Star Railroad Program Night at MSOE in Milw a few years ago for his service to the hobby industry. He extended his time to several other transit groups in the Milw area. He loved to attend the State Fair ,Summerfest,and love to line dance. David will be missed by many of his friends. Dave was the ultimate railroader and rail fan. Have a great ride on the glory train Amen.

Have known Dave since the 80's. He was a joy to be around and I considered him a friend. His devotion to Lionel trains and enthusiasm for the train club were unmatched.

Meet Dave at the swap meets some 35 years ago and then with the Club. Always pleasant to have conversations with. He will be missed.
