I suppose that your ideas about David L. Burclaw Krause Funeral Home are usually not fairly ideal. You consider the condition, simply because it generally seems to me, coming from the unfavorable standpoint and you need to add up negative and positive. https://goo.gl/e1CKCS

So sorry for your loss. My husband, Rod Hamilton roomed with Dave in college at Platteville. I enjoyed hanging out with Dave when I would visit. Thoughts and prayers.

Dear David, thanks for being such a good roommate and friend at UWP. I am so sorry that I was not able to pay the respect to you upon the end of your life that I should have. Everyone should know how hard you worked to get everything right in college. You worked your ass off. Although you had your fun there were many nights I would come home from a party to find you doing homework. You were meticulous in everything you took on. I will always love how you tried to please your mom in every move you made. Thank you for being the best roommate I ever had and for always being my loyal brother. Hold a seat for me up there. I love you David.

David always looked on the bright side and kept me positive. "Aww, come on E" he would say..."it will work out." Of course this was preceded by his infectious laugh! Good bless you Dave

Growing up knowing I had a 2nd cousin only 11 years older than me was always really awesome. I regret that my daughter never got to meet him. I'll miss him always.

Great memories of Dave playing volleyball and softball with the Kolberg gang (Sara, Gina, Donny, Zach, Sandy, Becky, Cheryl, George, Jeannie and myself). We had great times with Dave and a lot of laughs! I will never forget what a perfectionist he was. From his perfectly cut flat-top hair to his spotless clean truck - you knew he was a meticulous person. Along with his perfection was his respect for his friends, his family and everyone he encountered. Dave was a great example of a good man. He will ALWAYS be in our hearts and never be forgotten. Thank you, Dave, for passing through our life’s journey.

I still cannot wrap my mind around the fact this vibrant strong man (with a GI Joe resemblance), was taken from us so young. His contagious smile and sense of humor made Dave an absolute joy to work with at Liberty Mutual. Endless prayers sent up for your wife and children during this tragic and heartbreaking time. Rest in peace, my friend.

I have many great memories with Dave and Sara. From the time we golfed down and Racine and the time they witnessed my hole in one as well as dinner and drinks on so many occasions. The last time I saw Dave was right before his birthday. There were seven of us huddled in one of the side rooms. Dave couldn't communicate, but it was so obvious he was completely aware of everything we were saying. He tried to get up a few times to get to Mark and his smile was a mile wide when Tim told him Dom had a game that night. His laughter, strong will and smile will be with us forever. He will truly be missed by all of his friends. May his guiding light and full heart wrap around you and the kids from heaven. He will never be far. Love you Claw!

Claw...there is no doubt that Dave was loved and will be missed by his immediate family. He was also loved and will be dearly missed by his second family, The Wausau Softball Team! Claw was competitive, skilled, loyal, fun, willing to stand up for you, stubborn, humble, always good for a Claw comment or as we referred to it a "Clawism", but he was and always will be our Teammate! I have no doubt that right now Claw and E are organizing a softball game in Heaven. Take care Claw....you will be missed but always remembered as our Teammate!

Always remember Skiggs as a kind-hearted man always willing to encourage and inspire! Remembering the times Dave and Don coached us girls in softball....the shacking of the head and the yelling...come on ladies!!!! Such great times with these guys!!! Miss you both! Believing you are all reunited David, Don and Del!!!

I worked with Dave at West Bend Mutual. We backed each other up when one of us was out. He had a great sense of humor, and always talked about his family. He was a kind, caring guy. I missed him when he took a leave from work, and was very sorry to hear of his more recent struggles. May you all eventually find comfort in your good memories of him. I know I will. Perpetual light shines upon him. Hugs and prayers for Dave's entire family.
