Carmen left a message on January 18, 2021:
Mom, why you? I can’t believe this... you were planning for the holidays, Katie’s college graduation, and so much more. I want to wake up from this nightmare, but I’m trapped. My heart is broken. My spirit is broken because I love you. You didn’t deserve this mom and you’re more than a Covid19 number. You were our rock, our big/little Momma, our dance teacher, my typing teacher, my chief, my friend, and the tour guide for life. You taught us about spirituality, how to pray, and now you have to teach me how to go on.
Linda Martin left a message on December 18, 2020:
May God give you strength in this time as you lay your mom to rest, and in the coming days ahead.

Tonya Putman left a message on December 14, 2020:
With a heavy heart I give my condolences to my auntie Diane (yes she was still my auntie though her nephew Darnell Putman was no longer married at the time of her death). and to the host of other family members. I was married into the family in June, 1998 and Diane was one of the ones who always had open arms towards me. She told it like it was and didn’t sugar coat nothing!! But, auntie Diane had a kind; compassionate side as well. The last time I seen auntie was in September 2019 at Walmart and she said: “why haven’t you came to see me”? Don’t nobody care about Pookie, you will always be my niece! . It is with regret that I never made that visit and if I had of known she would be with us that long; I promise you I would have. This has taught me that you’ll never know when the last time you’ll see a person so, if a request is made.. take heed to it. My heart felt prayers to: Lenore(Red), Carmen and William, trust and believe auntie Diane is not far, she’ll always be with you in spirit. I love you all. Tonya, Emani, Deon and Darnell Putman Jr.❤️❤️
