Surrounded by her family, Diane entered into Eternal Life on Friday, December 11, 2020, age 80. Loving mother of Gena Koukouras, the late Joy (Curtis) Johnson and Billy Koukouras. Proud Yia Yia of Cassandra, Jack, Alexander, Dino and Sophia. Special sister of Helen (the late Peter) Jumes and Peter (Carol) Sarandos. Preceded in death by her husband Dino. Loved dearly by many relatives and countless friends.
Diane grew up on the south side of Milwaukee and graduated from South Division High School. In 1962 fell in love with and married Dino. They were blessed with three children who they raised in West Milwaukee. Through the years, while raising her children, Diane started a business and worked as a floral designer and also taught at MATC.
Diane’s heart was blessed with the birth of her grandchildren. She cherished each memory truly with her heart and soul. Her dedication to her family was of the highest importance. She made sure she didn’t miss a milestone.
She carried her faith with her wherever she went. She was highly active in her beloved church belonging to groups like GOYA in her younger years, and later, the AHEPA and Daughters of Penelope. Diane enjoyed volunteering at the Church’s annual Greek Festival and attending weekly Bible study.
Mom/Yia Yia, you are deeply loved and forever missed. You were and will always be the light in our lives.
Visitation at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 9400 West Congress Street, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 9:00 AM. Funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Gena and Billy, 2 Huge losses in such a short time our hearts are broken for you. But rest assured that your mom and Joy are together along with your dad and are having the best reunion ever! Your mom was one of the greatest women ever. She was kind,loving, thoughtful and her home was always open. She made sure that you never left her home hungry! And...she was the BEST Florist ever! “When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a Treasure” All our love, Lori and Keith Helm Maggie Malucha

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Diane’s passing. She was a member of the West Allis Lions Club. She was always willing to help with our projects. I will miss her.

Gena & Bill: Please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mother, Diane. She was a valued Gem in this generation of people. Diane was the sweetest, nicest person one could ever hope to meet in this life time. She was always glad to see you. She spread her cheer, happiness & gentleness wherever she went. Consider yourself lucky to be her kin as I’m sure you both amassed a lot of valuable information in your lifetime. Keep Diane in your thoughts. Next time you feel a Butterfly on your body, remember it’s her. A gentle soul has passed. I’m so proud to have known her; she spread sunshine wherever she went.

My deepest sympathy to Diane's family. I always enjoyed working with Diane in Philoptochos at church. She was a creative person. We would run into each other frequently shopping at Stein Mart! May her memory be eternal and may God give each of you strength as you travel the journey of life ahead.

I attended South Division and graduated with Diane. The reunion committees provided an opportunity for me to get to know her better. Her floral arrangements and her wonderful treats were the products of her skills. Whenever something Greek comes to mind I think of Diane. Rest in peace, Diane. Your family's sorrow is shared with all who knew her.

So sorry to hear Diane is gone from this world, but is now at peace in heaven. I attended South Division and that is how I came to know Diane. She was such a vivacious, caring person. It was always a pleasure to be around her. Later worked with her on the South Division Reunion committee organizing get togethers annually. Diane always provided beautiful floral arrangements for the tables. I can still hear her laughter. She contributed so much to life. I feel so lucky to have known Diane. Let her rest in peace. Amen

Dianne was a such nice person!! We met her through the West Allis Lions Club where she was a member, she was always a great volunteer and very enthusiastic about our mission as Lions. We are so sorry for your loss.
