Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 22, 2018, at age 69. Beloved husband of Karen (nee Hotchkiss). Cherished father of Anthony (Lori) Hotchkiss. Loving grandfather of Samantha, Alex, Vannessa and Olivia. Dear brother of Lourdes (Pablo) Laguna, Myrta Garcia, Julio (Lynne) Rivera. Family of Georgia Alvaro, Wayne Hotchkiss, Wesley (Sandy) Hotchkiss, Wyman (Gale) Hotchkiss, Chris (Mark) Koch, Warren (Alycia) Hotchkiss, Barbara Lee, Patty (Dan) LaFountain and Kim Hotchkiss. Special friend of Jimmy and Jean Kilbourn.

Mingus loved to go fishing, playing practical jokes on family and friends and spent countless hours caring for his yard and vegetable garden.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 6:45 PM. Celebration of Life at 7:00 PM. Private interment at Southern WI Veterans Cemetery.
