Dearest Donna. I was your student in '63 when you married that remarkable physics teacher Tom Mitchell. You were an outstanding coach and mentor and friend -- Teresa and I so appreciated you and Tom lending us your bicycles back in the 80's when we were back for a class reunion. Tom, you know our love embraces your family. And I thank you, both, for bringing out in me, such as they may occasionally emerge, the better angels so often hidden inside.

Tom with Sympathy to you and your family in the loss of Donna. What a lovely Lady and she had such a beautiful smile. It has been 38 years since we met you both through Shaklee. We regret that we cannot make our presence at the visitation for her. We are celebrating 65 years of marriage on the 27th with lots of events going on. May God give you strength and peace at this difficult time.

Donna was a special person who was kind and friendly to all. She related so well to her students and they loved her. Her concerts were so much fun to watch. We have lost a talented, wonderful woman.

It is hard to imagine life without Aunt Donna. I will deeply miss her loving hugs, her warm smile and her infectious laugh. I have so many memories of our families traveling together, sharing time at lake cottages together and other extended family get togethers. She really, often, was the life of the party. Uncle Tom, Bill and Ann, and your families, I am so sorry for this loss.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

We send our thoughts and prayers to Tom and the rest of his family. What a wonderful mother and wife! We remember her fondly from our days living in Waukesha. It's too bad that time and distance prevented us from interacting with the family once we moved to Pennsylvania.

My sympathies to the family. My husband Tom Evans had Donna for a teacher at Waukesha South back in the 60's - he really enjoyed being in her choirs. She will certainly be missed by many.

Donna was my colleague, my friend, and my mentor. She embraced each child as unique and important. Her talents as a music educator were exceptional. The musical concerts she organized and choreographed for Whittier Elementary children were a source of pride, delight, and hard work. Her laugh was infectious, her generosity unconditional, and her professionalism unmatched. Heaven’s gain is most assuredly earth’s loss. May you find eternal peace, Donna Mae...and may all the treasured memories provide strength and support to your family and friends. I was truly blessed to have you in my life and to be able to call you friend. Earth knows no sorrow that heaven can not heal. Until we meet again...

What memories I have of this lovely lady. From the time my kids had her for music until the time I coached Ann in soccer. Besides her smile was a terrific giggle that always hit the soul. We will miss everything about her.

A beautiful lady that I learned how she must have loved by the love her family showed her in her final days on Earth. An amazing family that I was blessed by while helping care for Donna her last week @ her home! She will certainly be missed! May she be commanding a grand piano at the foot of Jesus while the Angelic choir sings and Angels dance before His throne! You were easy to love Donna. Be blessed where you now have eternal life! Hope to meet you again one fine day. Tammy @ Visiting Angels-Germantown
